RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Each artwork, print, limited edition, original painting, or commissioned piece is handled with care and produced, signed, packed, and shipped as an artistic object rather than as a standard consumer product.
Please read this Return Policy carefully before placing an order.
1. General principle
Due to the specific nature of the artworks (original paintings, original drawings, limited edition prints, signed artworks, numbered artworks, personalised prints, commissioned artworks, and nominative editions), returns are not accepted once an order has been confirmed.
The client may request the cancellation of an order within 24 hours of placing the order by contacting cecilia@cmvisualartist.com.
Cancellation is possible only if the order has not yet been processed, produced, signed, numbered, certified, packed, or shipped. After this period, or once preparation has begun, the order can no longer be cancelled.
2. European Union right of withdrawal
Under applicable European consumer law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
For this reason, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Original paintings;
- Original drawings;
- Commissioned artworks;
- Made-to-order prints;
- Personalized prints;
- Signed Fine Art Prints;
- Works produced according to the client’s specific request;
- Nominative editions;
- Limited Editions;
- Any artwork that has been customized, reserved, produced, signed, numbered, or prepared specifically for the client.
By placing an order for any of the above categories, the client acknowledges that the artwork is produced, assigned, or prepared specifically for them, and that no return, exchange, or refund will be accepted unless required by law.
3. Damaged artwork upon delivery
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact cecilia@cmvisualartist.com within 48 hours of delivery.
You must provide:
- Clear photographs of the damaged artwork;
- Clear photographs of the packaging;
- Clear photographs of the shipping label;
- A written description of the issue.
Please keep the original packaging until the matter has been reviewed, as it may be required for the shipping carrier’s claim process.
Depending on the situation, a repair, replacement, partial refund, full refund, or other appropriate solution may be proposed.
4. Lost or delayed shipments
Once an artwork has been shipped, delivery times may vary depending on the destination, postal service, customs processing, or carrier delays. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
If a shipment appears to be lost or significantly delayed, please contact cecilia@cmvisualartist.com so that an investigation can be opened with the carrier.
Refunds or replacements for lost shipments will be considered only after the carrier has completed its investigation and confirmed the loss, unless otherwise required by law.
5. Customs duties and import taxes
For orders shipped outside France / the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, and handling fees may be applied.
These charges are the responsibility of the client and are not included in the artwork price or shipping cost unless explicitly stated.
Refusal to pay customs duties, import taxes, or related charges does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation or refund.
6. No exchanges
Exchanges are not accepted.
Each artwork is produced, selected, signed, numbered, or prepared individually. For this reason, artworks cannot be exchanged for another piece, edition, size, or format after the order has been confirmed.
