The purchase of an artwork, original painting, drawing, print, or limited edition does not transfer copyright or intellectual property rights to the client. The client acquires ownership of the physical artwork only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Cecilia Mendoza reserves the right to photograph, archive, publish, exhibit, reproduce, and use images of the artworks for portfolio, editorial, promotional, press, exhibition, social media, documentation, and archival purposes.
5. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to present artworks, prints, descriptions, dimensions, colors, materials, prices, and availability as accurately as possible.
However, slight variations in color, texture, scale, paper, finish, or appearance may occur due to screen settings, photography, printing processes, or the handmade nature of the work.
Such variations do not constitute a defect.
We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, omissions, prices, descriptions, or availability information at any time.
6. Orders and sales
All purchases made through this website are governed by the Terms of Sale.
The Terms of Sale define the conditions applicable to orders, payments, prices, shipping, customs duties, returns, right of withdrawal, damaged artworks, certificates of authenticity, invoices, and ownership of physical artworks.
In case of contradiction between these Terms of Service and the Terms of Sale regarding a purchase, the Terms of Sale shall prevail.
7. Returns, refunds, and right of withdrawal
Returns, refunds, damaged artworks, and the European Union right of withdrawal are governed by the Return and Refund Policy and the Terms of Sale.
Due to the specific nature of artworks, original paintings, drawings, limited editions, signed works, numbered works, made-to-order prints, personalized prints, commissioned artworks, and nominative editions, returns and cancellations are not accepted once an order has been confirmed and processing, production, signing, numbering, certification, personalization, packing, or shipping has begun.
8. Shipping and delivery
Shipping, delivery, customs duties, import taxes, delays, lost parcels, damaged packages, and incorrect delivery addresses are governed by the Shipping Policy and the Terms of Sale.
Cecilia Mendoza offers worldwide free shipping on all orders, unless otherwise stated at checkout or agreed in writing for a specific exceptional case.
Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, handling fees, or other local charges imposed by the destination country remain the sole responsibility of the client.
9. Certificates, invoices, and documentation
Limited edition prints are accompanied by a physical Certificate of Authenticity, shipped with the artwork where applicable.
Original paintings and original drawings are accompanied by an invoice and a Certificate of Authenticity. For original paintings and drawings, these documents are sent electronically to the client by certified email via PEC.
The invoice, Certificate of Authenticity, numbering, signature, and any related documentation form part of the artwork’s provenance and should be kept carefully by the client.

This website is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce infrastructure used to present and sell artworks, prints, and related products online.
