SHIPPING POLICY
Last updated: May 28th, 2026
We strive to prepare and ship all orders with the greatest care and within the shortest reasonable timeframe.
Please note that the artworks (original paintings, original drawings and limited edition signed prints) are not standard consumer goods. Each order may require individual preparation, signing, numbering, certification, packing, and documentation before shipment.
If you need your artwork to be delivered by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so that we can confirm whether your deadline can reasonably be met.
1. Processing and preparation time
Most artworks and fine art prints are prepared and shipped within 3–5 business days after the order has been confirmed, unless otherwise stated on the product page or agreed in writing.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
For original artworks, commissioned works, made-to-order prints, personalized works, or special editions, preparation times may vary depending on the nature of the work, documentation, certification, packing requirements, and studio workload.
2. Shipping carriers and methods
Orders may be shipped using DHL, UPS, FedEx, or another reliable carrier, depending on the destination, size, value, and nature of the artwork.
Domestic and international delivery estimates may vary depending on the final destination, customs processing, carrier availability, weather conditions, strikes, transport disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Tracking information will be provided once the order has been shipped.
Certain shipments may require a signature upon delivery, depending on the value, destination, or nature of the artwork.
3. Shipping costs
Cecilia Mendoza offers worldwide free shipping on all orders.
4. Delivery times
Delivery estimates are provided for information only and are not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, customs clearance, incorrect delivery information, weather conditions, strikes, force majeure events, or any circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
5. Customs duties and import taxes
For orders shipped outside France / the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, handling fees, or other local charges may apply.
These charges are the sole responsibility of the client and are not included in the artwork price or shipping cost unless explicitly stated.
Cecilia Mendoza is not responsible for paying customs duties, import taxes, or local fees charged by the destination country.
Refusal to pay customs duties, import taxes, or related fees does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation, refund, or return.
6. Wrong or incomplete address
The client is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout.
If a package is delayed, lost, returned, or delivered incorrectly due to an incomplete or incorrect address provided by the client, Cecilia Mendoza cannot be held responsible.
If the package is returned to us, the client will be responsible for any additional shipping costs required to resend the order to a corrected address.
7. Delayed or lost orders
If a package appears to be significantly delayed or lost, please contact us so that an investigation can be opened with the carrier.
A parcel may only be considered lost once the carrier has completed its investigation or once the applicable carrier claim period has elapsed.
Refunds, replacements, or other solutions for lost shipments will be considered only after the carrier investigation has been completed, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
8. Damaged artwork upon delivery
All artworks are packed with care and, where applicable, shipped with transport insurance.
If your artwork arrives damaged, you must contact us at cecilia@cmvisualartist.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Please provide:
- clear photographs of the damaged artwork;
- clear photographs of the packaging;
- clear photographs of the shipping label;
- a written description of the issue.
Please keep the original packaging until the matter has been reviewed, as it may be required for the carrier’s claim process.
Depending on the situation, a repair, replacement, partial refund, full refund, or other appropriate solution may be proposed.
9. Certificates and documentation
Limited edition prints are accompanied by a physical Certificate of Authenticity, shipped with the artwork where applicable.
Original paintings and original drawings are accompanied by an invoice and a Certificate of Authenticity. For original paintings and drawings, these documents are sent electronically to the client by certified email via PEC.
The invoice, Certificate of Authenticity, numbering, signature, and any related documentation form part of the artwork’s provenance and should be kept carefully by the client.
